VR Residence – Banglore
The Site located in Jayanagar, Banglore is surrounded by a green belt with diverse landscape. The design brief was to create a home with an Architecture that is grounded in nature with the use of natural materials, reflect the fine tastes of the owner and also to maximize the use of real estate and sunlight.
The house is barrier free and kept free of walls as much as possible in the interiors except as required for safety and privacy. Large doors and windows, jali walls, tripe height brick feature walls with a folded metal plate stairs, sliding and stacking partitions, windows op3n the house to all the surrounding green spaces and add to the transparency of the house and its natural surroundings. A rooftop infinity pool that looks into the landscape adds the visual connection from the terrace to the surrounding.
